Combined with the financial support of others, your gift builds up the endowment. The stronger the endowment becomes over time, the greater the potential for earnings that can be turned around and awarded as charitable grants here in the Gorge. It’s giving at its greatest level because it makes a lasting impact and it truly defines coming full circle with your investment. You get to see some of the impact now, but the greatest impact is made beyond your own lifetime.

The Hickory Nut Gorge Foundation has positioned itself to build and strengthen the fabric of our community. We are laying the groundwork for the home of tomorrow, one that we may not see, but one that our children and grandchildren will.

That’s because we consider donations to the Foundation to be investments, and the earnings are invested back into the Gorge by way of grants to organizations and people you care about the most. The more you give, the more we can give to them.
Your gift is your permanent legacy to the Hickory Nut Gorge community, and a lasting, unique way to ensure that those you love will be able to enjoy this place for generations to come.
The Hickory Nut Gorge Foundation is focused on directing donations to support the arts, education, nature conservation/wildlife protection, economic vitality, enhanced health and quality of life. For your convenience, we accept donations via PayPal, by mail with a check, or through a planned gift.
Legacy Leaders
$250 Annual Gift
An annual gift of $250 for 10 years, Legacy Leaders' donations directly fund the Endowment from which grants are awarded to the community.
Builder's Circle
$500 Annual Gift
An annual gift of $500 for 10 years, Builder's Circle donations contribute to an operating fund which supports the costs associated with promoting Hickory Nut Gorge Foundation and the Endowment it stewards. This includes administrative, marketing, and fundraising efforts.
One Time Donations
You may a make one-time donation for any amount to the Hickory Nut Gorge Foundation in your own name, or in the honor of a person or organization.

Please make your donations by Dec. 31st of each year to take advantage of year-end tax benefits.
Planned Giving
Support the Hickory Nut Gorge Foundation in a significant and lasting manner by making a Planned Gift.
Your Planned Gift will play a part in protecting and preserving what we have now and in the future long after you are gone.
